Excerpt from the Log of the Italian Ship the "Barbarossa", captained by Luigi Volante. Dated 11 September 2005.

"Last nights storm was the worst I've ever seen in my twenty years as a fisherman on the Adriatic Sea. It's also with a sad heart that I must write down the loss of my cousin's niece Rosetta Moretti who was my first mate. Rosetta was trying to save the nets during the storm and the life line that was attached to her snapped during the storm and she was swept into the sea. Due to the effects of the storm and the extensive damage to the Barbarossa, I was unable to mount any kind of rescue. I was able to make radio contact with an Italian Coast Guard ship about an hour after Rosetta was lost so maybe they'll have more luck than I've hard. Rosetta, if you're still alive out there I want you to know that I'm sorry. Do to damage to the ship, I'm making for Venice for repairs. Luigi Volante, Captain."

Excerpt from the Log of the Italian Coast Guard Cutter the "Vagabondo", commanded by Lt. Commander Alberto Padroni. Dated 12 September 2005 08:35

"The tropical storm that blew through this area last night wreaked a lot of havoc. We've recieved reports from a damaged Italian fishing vessel that they've lost a crewman overboard. I've passed this information onto the Coast Guard Base at Rimini. Vagabondo has left it's regular patrol pattern to search from the lost crewman. Lt Commander Alberto Padroni."

Excerpt from the Log of the Italian Coast Guard Cutter the "Vagabondo", commanded by Lt. Commander Alberto. Dated 12 September 2005 13:00

"The look-outs have reported a body in the water off the port bow. Sending out the frogman to retreive the body. Will have the corpsman check the body once it's back aboard. The body has come aboard and Ensign Villaggio has detected a faint pulse in the woman, who looks to be Italian. Odd there seems to be a bluish tent to the skin of the woman. I've order the Vagabondo to return to Rimini as quickly as possible. I've had the woman moved to sick bay. However, Ensign Villaggio has detected no other signs of recovery in the woman. Maybe the docs at Rimini can figure it out."

Excerpt from a report by Doctor Tempo, Saint Francis Hospital. Dated 15 September 2005

"The patient, Rosetta Moretti, a native of Venice, was brought into the hospital a day ago in a coma. Due to exposure the subject's skin has taken on a bluish tint. Efforts have been made, and the core tempature of the patient has returned to homeostasis. However, the blue tint has remained with the patient. There is no accounting for this. Also the nurses have reported a mist that occasionally comes into the room, even though the windows to the subject room have remained closed. This continues to be a mystery."

Excerpt from a report by Doctor Tempo, Saint Francis Hospital. Dated 20 September 2005

"The patient has awoken. It was quite the miracle. However, the way it happened is most unusual. Yesterday Nurse Venerdi was changing the flowers the patient had recieved from the Coast Guard Lt. Commander, and her ship captain, when Nurse Venerdi accidently dropped the vase which shattered on the floor. Water from the vase splashed all over everything. The unusual part was that this seemed to awaken the patient. Suddenly the spilt water rose from the floor and started floating around the room. It was quite a sight. And Rosetta was sitting up in bed laughing about it."

Excerpt from the diary of Rosetta Moretti. Dated 12 October 2005

"Finally, I'm getting out of this hospital. Doctor Tempo and his cronies have run all the tests they can think off. It seems that my fall into the sea has awoken a power within me, that now allows me to pull water from the very air and make it do what I want it to. How cool is that? Also I really like the way my skin looks. For some reason I think I'm a little taller as well. I guess I can't go back to the Barbarossa. Captain Volante thinks that I should make a go at it being a super-heroine. Sounds like fun. I guess I can meet some really good-looking men along the way."

Thus a super-heroine is born.

Rosetta is a very cheerful person. Nothing ever seems to get her down. She has a very bubbly personality. It takes a lot to actually to get her to cry. A smile always seems to be planted on her face. Rosetta also enjoys the attention of men. She thinks nothing about flirting with men, even married ones. While she usually doesn't mean anything other than teasing the hapless male, Rosetta just can't seem to help herself. Since Rosetta has such a cheerful attitude about things most women can't seem to stay mad at her. On the other hand Rosetta is convinced by her ordeal that life is in itself the most precious thing in the universe. This is one of the main reasons why she became a super-heroine. Rosetta is vocally opposed to the death penalty. Also when Rosetta get vocal, most people blush, because she knows some really colorful words.

"Gee, Mr. Super-Villain I'm really sorry if I accidently short circuited your killer robot."

Alta Acqua is an Uber who's able to draw moisture from her surrounding and manipulate into a number of different effects. While it's easier for Alta Acqua to draw the moisture from nearby water sources she's able to draw the moisture from the air itself. At time Alta Acqua can even draw moisture from a foe. However, she rarely does this because it causes so much distress in the victim. Alta Acqua can direct the moisture to create effects like a giant hand which she can reach out and grab a foe and hold them in place. In a more direct fashion Alta Acqua can create a blast of water that'll knock her foes for a loop. Or Alta Acqua can cause water to explode at the feet of her foe in a geyser. Alta Acqua can also cause a huge wave to form in front of her and then crush everything in front of her. Or Alta Acqua can keep the wave in front of her forming a powerful barrier. Alta Acqua has also learned to call forth rain that she uses to put out fires.

Alta Acqua is much attuned to water. As such she can breath underwater with no effort, and can survive in the depths of the deepest ocean with ease. This affinity also protects her from water-based attacks. Alta Acqua is naturally resistant to water/ice/and cold-based attacks. On the other hand this affinity works against her, because Alta Acqua is easily harmed by fire-based attacks. In the water Alta Acqua moves super-humanly fast able to outswim almost anyone. Also due to her mutation Alta Acqua is able to see into the infrared spectrum and to hear sounds in the ultrasonic range. Alta Acqua can also emmit ultrasonic sounds when underwater and use them to find her way arround.

Alta Acqua is now permanently surrounded by a mist-like cloud. This is the only form of clothing that she normally wears. She's uncomfortable wearing clothing now. The mist also makes everything she tries wears damp in seconds. However the mist becomes just like armor whenever Alta Acqua wills it. Also the mist keeps Alta Acqua comfortably warm no matter what the conditions. Therefore clothing would be useless.

Rosetta is a statueque woman. One of the first thing that people notice about her is that her skin is entirely blue. However this just seems to make Rosetta even more exotic looking. Rosetta's curly hair reaches down to her lower back. And it's green. Constantly swirling around her body is a cloud-like mist that can't be supressed or dispelled. The mist covers her body like a costume. As such Rosetta is uncomfortable wearing clothing. So she doesn't. The mist covers the revealing parts of her anatomy, but just barely. With a mere thought Rosetta can harden the mist to make it armor-like. Rosetta is proud of her body, and is never embarrassed by the constant stares of men, and the envious looks of women.
