Background

The government of India realised it had access to one of the world's newest commodities. With a population of over a billion, the potential number of uberhumans according to S.A.G.E. estimates was impressive. The government actively sought the most powerful of these ubers and combined them into a sanctioned team.

The arrival of the Hindu God Ganesh made the Indian government reassess its view on the world. Ganesh demanded that India pave the way for the return of the other Gods, and the government saw the opportunity to become a truly global power.

The Assembly invaded the disputed territory of Kashmir and overthrew the Pakistani and rebel forces with ease. They followed the campaign swiftly by invading Pakistan, and decimated any uberhuman opposition. The deaths were explained as necessary in the liberation of Pakistan.

The Assembly invaded Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, creating the nation of India and its three Protectorates. The world community issued complaints in the United Nations, but nothing was done. Peace came to the region and one of the oldest nuclear stand-offs was neutralised.

The Assembly is the largest single team of uberhumans and continues to appear across India's lands to promote national pride, put down insurgents and provide role models for up and coming Indians.

Area of Operations

The Assembly is India's national uberhuman team and conducts almost all of its operations within the borders of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh; although there have been skirmishes between India and China, Russia and the Islamic terrorist group, Fatwa.

Goals

The Assembly is a part of the Indian military and follows orders indirectly from the government. The Assembly is dedicated to maintaining security within India's lands. The team is ready to expand those lands, and the government has shown interest in taking control of Bhutan and Afghanistan.

Ganesh has his own plans, and is using the team and India to assist in the return of the Hindu Pantheon of Gods.

Reputation

The Assembly is incredibly popular in India, but is seen as the tools of oppression in the Protectorates. The international community treats the Assembly with extreme care, given their history in lightning strikes against opposition.

The presence of Ganesh is wide-spread, and other religious leaders have mixed ideas and beliefs about the God's return. The sheer power of The Assembly is intimidating enough to keep most international critics quiet.
