Background

Doctor Salmalin Khan had been brought in as a consulting neurological expert during a series of experiments involving the creation (or awakening) of sentience in animals. He was curious and found the concept humorous, but when the experiments backfired Doctor Khan found his consciousness had been transferred into that of an Indian tiger, and that his original human body was dead.

Rather than dwell on the tragedy of it all, Doctor Khan managed to see the lighter side of his situation and attempted to continue his life as much as he could, which did prove difficult for the 180kg tiger. After admitting defeat, Khan contacted The Assembly and offered his services both as a medical expert and as the occasional brawn. He was dubbed Bagha, much to his amusement, and was accepted as one of India's greatest superheroes.
Personality

Khan is a light-hearted man trapped inside the body of a giant tiger. He sees the humour in his situation and has grown rather fond of his new body. He is predominantly a scientist and pursues his studies in neuroscience even though his hands are now useless. With the help of leading medical engineers, Khan has begun trialling remote-controlled 'hands' which has allowed him to return to some of his hands-on work.

Khan sees himself as the 'funny guy' of the team and goes out of his way to make light of some of the more serious situations which arise. He worries about the team's direction, and the country's ambitions, but he is also a patriot and wants what is best for his country.

Powers

Khan possesses the body of a large Indian tiger and is able to make use of its natural abilities. The tiger itself is not unusual in strength or speed, but coupled with Khan's intellect, Bagha has proven to be a fierce opponent.
Appearance

Bagha is a large Indian tiger (Panthera tigris tigris). His coat is thick and well looked after: something which Khan is dedicated to maintaining. When it comes to other personal habits and etiquette, however, Bagha really does allow himself to become the animal.
