| Background |
For some time there were four rival gangs of Yakuza. In the late 1980s, a gang war errupted that left all four gangs devastated and easy pickings for other types of gangs as well as law enforcement personel. In 1994, Ichiban contacted the remnants and offered them a deal. Comfortable positions in the Ichiban organization along with legal protection and a stipend for their work or being hunted down by law enforcement due to 'anonymous' tips. It was an easy choice to make. Number One first demanded they show their loyalty to him by collecting fingers. Then he consolidated them into an effective organization of thugs to do the day-to-day dirty work for Ichiban as the Brotherhood of the Finger. |
| Personality |
As is the general case of Yakuza, most of its members are slightly lazy and bullies. They make their living largely through protection rackets, but in the case of the Finger Brothers, they also serve as bouncers and guards to Ichiban facilities including the Shumon Houses. |

The Yakuza are basically thugs. The Finger Brothers use brass knuckles with their streetfighting and, if needed, they use Bushmaster submachine guns. However, as much as possible, they rely upon bulllying and intimidation to get the job done. |

They dress in a hodge-podge of ways from metrosexual to punk rook to classy hood with attire to fit the businesses that they are assigned to guard or intimidate. Close inspection of the hands will reveal the missing last joint of the little finger of the left hands of all members. A few members are also missing the same portion of their right hands. |
