Jaime Serra was a tour van and taxi driver in Belmopan. He never really liked his job because it involved acting subservient to rich people a lot, mostly rich foreigners. Still, he had to make a living and there wasn't much else for a man to do there.

One particular day, he was driving through the jungle en route to the pyramids and the car struck a boulder in the road. Jaime and the others were thrown out as the car tumbled into a ravine. What happened to the tourist, Jaime never found out, but he himself landed deep in the jungle.

A jaguar stood over him, seemingly pondering whether to pounce and eat Jaime or whether it would be too much trouble. Afraid, Jaime whispered to it, "Please, just go away."

Surprisingly, it took one last look at the cab driver and then turned to go deeper into the jungle. Jaime knew then that he was an uberhuman. Over the course of the next month, he trained in the use of his powers and finally got to put them to the test one night after he drove a particularly wealthy and flamboyant couple - British, he believed - to their resort villa.

It was fairly easy to speak to and convince some stray cats and rats to enter the villa and bring him the keys. For several years since, he made a practice of robbing the rich tourists of whatever valuables they had upon them from watches to jewelry to cash to credit cards. Feeling a tinge of guilt and perhaps more than that of superstition, he always leaves something for the poor.

When he was approached by Silicio and Chispa de Plata to help in stealing the USS Veracruz, he jumped at the chance.

While most of the others of Los Piratas are in it for the money and the good life, that is the least part for Capitan Jaguar. He likes the thrill of the hunt and the challenge of facing off against superhumans. He is also the most noble of these thieves in that he always leaves somewhere between 15% and 50% of his share of the take to charities.

"It's the getting of it, not the taking of it."

Primarily a close combatant, Capitan Jaguar has exellent reflexes, speed, and strength. He has developed a fighting style, El Luchar del Jaguar, that takes advantage of these abilities. He also has keen senses like that of his namesake as well as the ability to communicate with, command, and view the world through animals.

Capitan Jaguar wears a dark gray costume that covers everything except his mouth. When out of costume on scouting missions, he wears whatever is normal for the people of the locale.
