Background

Arianna was a nurse in a hospital under attack by the terrorist group Fatwa.  She became trapped on the third floor with half a dozen aged patients, and she refused to leave them even as Saladin came crashing through the walls.  Arianna stood up to him and was thrown through a wall for her trouble.  The giant man went to finish the job but found that Arianna wasn't unconscious and beaten.  She seemed fine.

And Saladin felt... weaker.

Arianna leapt for him and grabbed his leg.  It was then that she began to feel the man's strength course through her body.  As he got weaker she got stronger.  But she was no fighter.  Saladin threw her away and staggered to join up with his team mates, but Arianna's desperate attack had saved her life and the life of her patients.

She was tested and her ubergene was identified.  Even though she protested, Arianna was drafted into the army and then into Cabala where she remains to this day.
Personality
Arianna does not want to be a hero.  She is a nurse and not a fighter, although the government seems deaf to her concerns.  Even amongst the Cabala team, Arianna feels alone and not only because any skin contact results in a nebulous transfer of strength from her 'victim' and into her.  She has tried to keep her life separate from the public image although she is finding it difficult.

When she can, Arianna steals herself away to visit the aged and wounded in aged care facilities where her celebrity status can bring hope to the older generations

Powers

Delilah is able to siphon the strength from opponents and use the energy to boost her own strength.  If she has enough time she is able to completely drain even some of the strongest ubers on the planet, most notably the terrorist Saladin.  She is also able to fly and has a fair amount of resistance to injury.
Appearance

Arianna is a beautiful, but sad woman.  It is clear that she does not feel comfortable in the superhero world but she would never admit such a thing publicly.  She wears a black bodysuit over which she wears a bright pink designer dress, matched in colour with her shades.  Out of uniform she wears elegant trousers and vests.  Arianna has been approached by designers to wear their clothes, although she shies away from doing so publicly.  She really just wants to live a solitary life away from the eyes of curious fans.
