Background

The Moriarty family have been closely aligned to the Italian government since the 1960s, and although they have been implicated in corruption along the way, their airline business has allowed them to come through maintaining their power and prestige. Moriarty Airlines is one of Italy's premier airlines and has spread its influence into Austria, France and Germany making the Moriartys one of the richest families in Italy.

Nicola Moriarty is now the only living Moriarty after a spate of accidents orchestrated by Nicola and the crime lord Remus. Now that she is the sole Moriarty she hopes to take control of the family fortune although there have been some legal challenges and delays.

Nicola has established a lucrative prostitution business in Rome so she is independently wealthy and influential. Her Lupinare clubs have sheltered Remus in the past years and she has entered a long term partnership with him. Her association with Remus has brought her into contact with the Dawnstars as well revealing her uberhuman ability to transform people into werebeasts. While she has had this ability since she was seventeen, Nicola has only used it in moderation, creating a strong, loyal (and handsome) coterie of bodyguards. The doormen of Lupinare's are all Wolf Men, under her control.
Personality
Moriarty has lived a very indulgent life and the recent prospect of gaining control of her family's fortunes has sent her over the edge. She is drunk with self-confidence and has cast off any concern for the law and ethical codes which govern most people. She is increasingly predatory in her attention towards attractive men and since meeting with Remus has begun to use her powers more and more, merging the transformation with love making.

As Den Mother she hopes to control Rome's criminal activities beyond prostitution, and although she has no plans on usurping Remus she does not believe he is capable of running an entire criminal empire - especially considering his failure last time. Therefore she has entered into the partnership with a set goal in mind: taking control of Rome. Once she has done that she will begin to loosen ties with Remus and become independent.

Powers

The Den Mother is able to unleash the beast from within humans, triggering a transformation into a wolf-like creature. Once the transformation is complete (something which usually takes a minute or more of intimate contact) the Wolf Man is able to change forms back and forth for up to a month, after which he will require another dose of Moriarty's power. She is also able to communicate with the Wolf Men via a mental link.
Appearance

Nicola Moriarty is in her early forties and has dull red hair and has a fascination with all things to do with wolves. She will usually wear wolf furs over designer wear, but does not have a costume per se. She is always accompanied by her Wolf Men and ensures that they wear impeccable fashion. She believes the men she draws to her are a reflection of herself.

Since using her powers more frequently, Nicola has discovered that her own looks are improving so that she now appears like a movie star. Her beauty is linked with her domination over the Wolf Men and serves as another incentive to continue using her powers, almost like a drug.
