Background

There are only a few clues to where Dinosaur originally came from; those that look tend to point to a chemical spill that killed off all the native alligators in Payne's Prarie, on a stormy night in June, 1998. But what is known is that in the years later, he may have roamed throughout Central and South Florida. Sightings and incidents of criminals with shallow clawmarks/bites shows evidence of his activity, although they did not ramp up until late 2005, when he grew confident enough to assault drug runners in the Everglades.

It was then that the Hunter began stalking him. For what purposes is still unclear, but one thing is certain in Dinosaur's mind--it wasn't for his well-being. He found himself in a non-descript lab, having awoken much earlier then expected. He swiftly took umbrage and ravaged the lab; only after it was in complete shambles did he fid himself an exit and slipped quietly into the unfamiliar sewers beneath...

Personality
Dinosaur is relatively young in the world of humans, having only achieved sentience for the past few years. He does pick up on abstract concepts readily, and is willing to learn if it helps the current situation. However, he is more than likely to take a long view of things--he, after all, can live for a longer time than most humans. The swamps and salt marshes of the world hold a soft spot in his heart, and will do his best to protect such places without conflict.

His only flaw is that he's still an animal, with animalistic urges and instincts. Therefore, if there is nothing pressing, he will happily find a place to swim or bask if possible.

Quote
"I can recall a time before time, a world where mammals were but little rodents among giants. Can you defeat millennia of evolution?"

Powers

Dinosaur is a tough scrapper with the ability to alter parts of himself to reflect various aspects of his ancient lineage. His native crocodilian abilities, enhanced by his ancient ubergene, gives him the staying power in a straightforward fight. He will happily make use of tactics to disable anyone in his path, and will only go for the kill if there is no alternative.

Appearance

Dinosaur can change the general aspects of his body, but his natural coloration, scaly texture, neck roll, and tail shape remains constant to that of an American Alligator. His preferred form is reminiscent of bipedal theropods, with elongated arms ending in grasping claws. His head is similar to a raptor's, with a higher domed head. On his back is a large dorsal fin.

The only article of clothing that he is willing to wear is a stretchy black armband, which carries his communicator within a sealable pouch inside.
