Background

Daitatsu Industries has long been a major covert supporter of I-shinkigen Koukoku. In 2003, Nakamoto Hiroshi, leader of MECHA-Tai Japan abruptly left the team in the middle of the night without so much as a note or voice recording. And the MECHA used by the team, Black Dragon, was missing along with him. In fact, he had stolen the world's largest MECHA and brought it to New Empire after being contacted by Kikuta Makoto. For a year, a team of some of the brightest Daitatsu engineers, completely loyal to the owner, Kikuta, made extensive modifications that fit into the concept of a highly destructive war machine. It was first used in 2005 to destroy gateways created by Mister Chaos in Narita International Airport. That much of an entire terminal building was destroyed as collateral damage made the mission a nearly total success for New Empire as many International flights docked at that terminal building.

Powers
The Dragon Banzai MECHA was designed as an all-purpose mobile firepower platform. Not very useful for detailed work or selective attacks, it is highly useful for large-scale destruction. In addition, it serves as a 'Flagship' with a second cockpit that can be used for command and control of missions and operations.

In addition to high tech electronics for communications, surveillance, and tactical assistance, Dragon Banzai is heavily armored and can walk at a pace of fifty kph. It is a very heavy MECHA and uses it's jets for JATO rather than for flight. Four modular compartments built into the 'shoulders' and 'arms' of the MECHA can be outfitted with off-the-shelf or special weapons systems befitting nearly any particular mission.
Appearance

The Dragon Banzai MECHA is a large anthropoid vehicle which towers above most single family houses. It is painted red except for gold and silver lightning bolts that converge a the belt sunburst 'buckle'. There are two cockpits: the primary pilot/driver sits in the 'head' and another pilot or passenger can sit in the Flag cockpit in the center of the chest.
