| Background |
Once Etienne was one of the elite in Haiti. Under 'Papa Doc' Duvalier, he was a star. Etienne was one of a handful of Ubers from Haiti. His powers gave him special privileges and responsibilities. The dictator of Haiti, always paranoid about threats to his rule and about assassination attempts had all the children who showed signs of the ubergene rounded up and put into special training camps. The children would serve as bodyguards for the president. Etienne's powers emerged at a young age and he was taken from his home. In a way it was a good thing. Etienne was well fed, unlike the majoritiy of Haitians. When he was old enough he was enrolled in the army, but in truth, he was to be trained as a bodyguard for the president. Etienne was responsible for the deaths of at least six assassins. He was known for his brutality in performing his duties. Thanks to him, Papa Doc stayed in power for a long time. However, it was the insanity of the president that brought Etienne's fall from grace. It was the death of Papa Doc through an out of control voodoo ritual that forced Etienne to leave Haiti. Fearing the other Haitian Ubers, Etienne killed them all in their sleep.Etienne jumped the first cocaine runner he found, eventually landing on Cuba. On Cuba, Etienne took up the career of an assassin. He was responsible for a number of assassinations on Cuba. It was also on Cuba that he made the acquaintance of El Disendador, whom Etienne performed a number of jobs for. El Disenador was quite impressed with the big Haitian. The Cuban introduced Etienne to a few of his friends who were in the same profession as he. Etienne left Cuba for England to join Dirty Deeds. Things were starting to look up for the ex-bodyguard. He was going to be a great assassin, and like all great assassins he took on a nom de guerre. His was Dreadlock. |
| Personality |
Etienne is a brute of a man. Hurting people is what he does, and Etienne is good at it. It doesn't take much to provoke Etienne and those who do provoke him usually get hurt for their troubles. Etienne has quite the reputation for brutality. However, Etienne is also a mercenary. He gets paid for hurting and killing people. This is not to say that he won't kill someone who inteferes with one of his hits, he'd just prefer to be paid for it. Since leaing Haiti, Etienne has had to look out for himself. He's always watching his back and usually doesn't let anyone get too close to him. He tolerates the other members of Dirty Deeds, but really deosn't understand their motives. Usually Dreadlock prefers to work alone. |

"Hey Mon it has been nice knowing you. Too bad youse gotta die. CRACK" |
| Powers |
Dreadlock is an Uber whose hair is alive, almost like a seperate limb. Each lock has the strength of a steel cable. Dreadlock has learned to use his locks in a number of deadly ways. He's able to wrap a foe up in his hair and while they're trapped pummel them into a bloody pulp. Dreadlock can also whip his hair around knocking bullets out of the air, or use it like a whip and deliver leathal blows. In addition to his living hair Dreadlock is superhumanly strong. To protect himself, Dreadlock wears body armor and shades to guard against flash attacks. Dreadlock is also a highly trained hand-to-hand combatant from his days as a bodyguard |
| Appearance |
Dreadlock is a large musuclar black man. Growing from his head is what looks like normal hair, but in fact his hair is more like steel cable than hair. At times his locks will move of their own accord. For a costume Dreadlock wears a suit of black body armor that looks like leather and shows off his muscles. Even though Dreadlock doesn't maintain a secret identity, he does wear a pair of shades to guard himself from flash attacks. |
