Triceris always considered a loyal soldier of the city of Sauropolis. As a member of the vaunted Three Horn Legion, he was praised highly among the Triorns, Shareeths, and Loneks. His strength was known throughout Sauropolis. Triceris was an up and coming member of the Saurian society. Triceris, at first like most members of the Three Horn Legion were ignorant of the ambitions of their leader, General Jurassic. He blithely followed orders, unaware of a corruption that was fermenting among his fellow soldiers. One day in the great plaza, Triceris along with two other Triorns ran into Professor Fossil. The professor was the only human to ever be allowed into Sauropolis. The sight of the human distressed the other Saurians; most feared they might accidently crush the fragile human. It was when the human actually attacked a Saurian that Triceris and his comrades attacked. The legionaries were shocked when the human actually put up a fight and was holding his own until he was clubbed down by Triceris.Professor Fossil was brought in front of the Council of Elders, where Triceris insisted that the human should be exiled from Sauropolis and his memory of the city wiped from his mind. Triceris didn’t see the smirk on Professor Fossil’s face, and even if he did he wouldn’t have understood the expression. Triceris was greatly surprised when General Jurassic actually stood up and spoke in the defense of Professor Fossil. Not one to turn down a challenge Triceris demanded a Circle of Judgement. The Circle of Judgement is a time-honored tradition for Saurian to settle their disputes through one on one combat. The Circle of Judgement took place the next morning at the head of the Great Waterfall in front of the Council of Elders. Both Triorns wore their best battlesuits and their horns shown in the light of dawn. With a mighty clash the two Triorns slammed together, and the plaza shook from their collision. The fight went back and forth, neither giving an inch. The battle ended when General Jurassic threw Tricaris over the edge of the waterfall. Tricaris would have certainly dropped to his death if General Jurassic hadn’t caught him by his horn.“You were a brave soldier Tricaris,” said General Jurassic, “However, you are also naive to the point of foolishness.”“I don’t understand,” said Tricaris.“Of course you don’t,” said General Jurassic as he snapped off Tricarises horn. Tricaris fell down into the mists like a falling comet. He was thought to have died that morning. Little did Tricaris know that Professor Fossil was one of General Jurassic’s followers. While the fall did greatly injure Tricaris it didn’t kill him.A wounded and delirious Tricaris wandered out of the mountains of Tanzania only to encounter the members of Africa Force Five. Tricaris was thought to be some kind of monster. After a short battle, Tricaris was defeated. Parhelion was fascinated by the creature, but was unable to communicate with Tricaris. Doctor Salembere of Africa Force Four was brought in, and the psychiatrist and the Saurin were quickly communicating. While Tricaris wouldn’t reveal the location of Sauropolis to the humans, he was willing to help them. When an Africa Force Three was being formed, Tricaris was offered a place with them. Feeling exiled from Sauropolis, Tricaris accepted gratefully. Little did he know what he was getting into. |
