Alexi Ivanov alwasy looked up to his father, a decorated soldier who fought agsint the Nazi's during the Great Patriotic War. To Alexi the great man could do no wrong, and young Alexi wanted to grow up to be just like him. Luckily for Alexi, his father had been one of the few survivors of the Battle of Leningrad.

When Alexi turned sixteen he joined the Red Army. The army lifestyle appealed to him and he has since made a career of it. Alexi was involved in the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, and there he was involved in a number of intelligence gatherings operations. He and a few other spetznas were responsible for the destruction of many Afghans' encampments by directing Soviet helicopters to them.

However, it wad during his last raid against an Afghan encampment that Alexi and his men walked into an ambush. Before he knew what was happening an Afghani had jumped him driving a knife into his leg. The two struggled on the ground after that, but it was Alexi who survived the encounter. For his bravery, Alexi was awarded a metal and promoted to the rank of colonel.

While convalescing the the military hospital, Alexi was approached by the Comittee for State Security or KGB and offered a place with them. Not sure how his would would affect him, Alexi accepted. As a member of the KGB, Alexi came into his own as an administrator, and unknowingly into a superb agent.

With the breadk down of the Soviet Union, Alexi was deeply involved with the transition from the communist KGB into the Russian Federations' Russian FSB. It was the Director of the Russian FSB Colonel General Anatoly Pytorov, who personally selected Alexi to head the new Uber-human department of the Russian FSB, code-named: Russian Dawn. Alexi was also given a promotion to the rank of general.

Alexi is a dedicated man. He had made it his life to serve the Russian people. He's an honorable man, and will give in equal fashion to what he is given. Even though, technically, Alexi is no longer an active member of the Russian army, he still thinks of himself as a military type person. At time dealing with the more unusual members of Russian Dawn frustrates the general.

"Russia faces new challenges and opportunities. I am here to see that the challenges are met."

Alexi is a normal man who's still in prime physical condition. He likes to keep active and keeps himself in tip top physical shape through a grueling workout schedule. Alexi is also silled at martial arts from his days during the Afghanistan invasion, even though he has litte call now for that expertise. When expecting trouble, Alexi like to carry a side arm with him.

Alexi is a handsome man in his late forties. He's still in great shape for a man of his age. Alexi still dresses in his military uniform, which he keeps spotless. Pinned to his chest are a number of medals. Alexi keeps his blond hair cropped close in a military fashion.
