| Background |
Professor Eugene Fosile once was a noted paleontologist who had dug dinosaur bones up all over the world. The professor was trying to find the cause of the extinction of the dinosaurs. He had a working theory, and was one step away from publishing his results when disaster struck. A colleague of the professors had discovered a unique fossilized egg in Tanzania that defied classification, and sent it to Professor Fosile for his analysis. Even the professor seemed to be stumped by examining the specimen. While it looked like an egg of a triceratops, the coloration and size were inconsistent with what he knew about triceratops. With little left that he could do, Professor Fosile placed the specimen in an exam chamber. However, even diamond embedded drills proved useless against the exterior of the specimen. The only other course left for the professor was to use a laser drill. This time he was successful. Unfortunately, the specimen wasn’t a fossilized dinosaur egg, but a power node from the F'plraran probe that crashed landed in Africa millions of years ago.Strange energies exploded outwards from the power node. The exam chamber was obliterated, as was a good portion of the professors’ lab. Professor Fosile was blown back into a wall, where he was knocked unconscious. When he awoke, he was horrified to see that part of his face had fossilized, as was his right arm, and a portion of his leg.Once the shock of the transformation was over, Professor Fosile go unsteadily to his feet, and looked about the ruins of his laboratory. The power node was destroyed, but oddly enough, Professor Fosile felt better. New knowledge seemed to course through his wrecked body. Millions of years of study seemed to be at his fingertips. Unknown to Professor Fosile was that the explosion that ruined his body also forged a link between him and the F'plraran probe in far off Sauropolis. Dragging his fossilized leg, Professor Fossil shrugged off towards Sauropolis. He hoped there he could find a cure for his condition. What he found was more than he thought, and somewhat less. Now Professor Fossil serves General Jurassic, and secretly the Egg. |
| Personality |
Professor Fossil has been corrupted by the F’Plarran probe, and by the effects the explosion of the power node has had on his body. He’s bitter about the changes to his body, but still relishes in the power the changes have given him. Still the professor seeks a way to cure himself. Professor Fossil is sure that the answers lie within the Egg. Little does he understand that the Egg is using him, and General Jurassic. Professor Fossil is somewhat crazed, and is known to do odd things. The other Saurians typically walk lightly around him. The humans that Professor Fossil has battled over the years think that he’s totally deranged. Professor Fossil takes little stock in what others think about him. He can feel the fossilization still continuing in his body. The search for cure of the fossilization consumes him. |
| Quote |
"Don't stand in the way of Professor Fossil, or by the Egg, you will become one yourself." |
| Powers |
The explosion of the F'plraran power node has mutilated Professor Fossil's body, but it has also granted him some unique powers. By accessing the immense power of the F'plraran probe, which is known as the Egg by the Saurians, Professor Fossil is able to affect the tectonic field of the Earth. He can instantly cause a person to become a living fossil. Only through advanced science can a victim to be restored to full mobility. Professor Fossil can further command the earth around him. He can cause bits and pieces of stone to fly up and around him forming a shield, or even cause boulders to fly through the sky. This is Professor Fossils usual mode of transportation. |
| Appearance |
The right side of Professor Fossil's body has become full or partially fossilized. Half of his head is now a brown stone-like substance, which makes his face look skeletal. His right arm is now totally useless, and Professor Fossil keeps it close to his side. Only his right leg has some mobility but Professor Fossil moves with a noticable limp. For a costume, Professor Fossil wears a white smock, along with tan pants. With his disability it would be impossible for him to maintain a secret identity. |
