Background

Eden Parker grew up in a trailer park with his aging Hippy mother, her abusive Biker husband and a half dozen siblings. He ran away as soon as he could and by the age of nine he was living on the streets of San Francisco. He drifted from one social group to another until he found himself at home with a bunch of artistic Buddhists who took him under their wing and named him Rainbow since his hair had become an ever-changing mop of colour. With a little stability Eden began to explore his artistic side and became an accomplished graphic artist as well as a much sought after graffiti artist.

During the closing days of 1999 he went on a spray painting binge around San Francisco and was caught up in one of the Y2K Bug's expansive experiments. An entire shopping mall transformed into a hungry monster and began eating the shoppers. Eden was inside the mall when it became carnivorous and found his uber powers bursting to the surface. He escaped the digestion by blasting his way through a fire escape, and managed to avoid the media scrum which had assembled to cover the event.

When the Y2K Bug returned to recruit Rainbow as one of the Misfits, he decided to give it a go, although he has never really been a fan of the wanton destruction often wrought by the Bug. He prefers to make 'statements' during their missions and has found that the media manage to broadcast his slogans across middle America so his message (whatever it may be that week) is getting through.
Personality
Rainbow is a peace-loving idealist who is handy with a spray can. He latches on to the latest trends in environmentalism and peace movements, although at heart he is still a little confused as to where he stands. He loves expressing himself visually and always has markers, pencils and paint on hand to scrawl his messages. As a member of the Misfits, Rainbow is more of a hanger-on than an effective member (and the others usually berate him about his useless powers). He doesn't seem to care and genuinely enjoys their company.

Powers

Rainbow is able to generate and manipulate colors which he uses in his artistic pursuits (eg graffiti). He has developed a small array of combat-oriented powers such as spraying a blinding arc of colour at opponents, but he generally prefers to use his powers artistically.
Appearance

Rainbow is a skinny kid with a rainbow coloured afro, odd-coloured eyes and a pale complexion. He wears a singlet and baggy jeans mostly, but does add a bullet-proof jacket when he joins the Misfits on missions (he's not insane!). His hair is constantly changing colour and his clothes do too, sometimes consciously but mostly as a reflection of his mood.
