Background

Rayechka was ten when the Soviet Union came to an end. For Rayechka it was both a blessing and a curse. To Rayechka it meant that she could finally start to express herself artistically or at least so she thought. Three years before Rayechka was give a gift by a strange old man who was later deported to Russia as a spy. His gift was a set of

excellent paint brushes, tubes of paint, and a clean canvas or two. Rayechka took to the painting like a blind person suddenly able to see again. These were happy times for young Rayechka.

When Rayechka was sixteen she met her future husband Yevheniy Buchai. Yevheniy saw the art that Rayechka was producing and was impressed. Yevheniy wined and dined the young girl eventually getting her to marry him. This is when things turned to the worst for Rayechka. Yevheniy was a tyrant, and a controller. Many a night Rayechka went to sleep with a bruise upon her cheek. However, Rayechka never complained because she loved him.

It was also at this time that her husband introduced her to art forgery. At first Rayechka balked at the idea of copying someone else's work. It only took a few straps solved that problem. And a few days later Rayechka had created a masterful forgery of "Satan Inflicting Boils on Job" by William Blake. Yevheniy was greatly impressed with Rayechka and again things were wonderful. He took Rayechka to all the museums in Kiev showing her paintings of the various artists. Yevheniy even took her to the Andrei Rubilov Museum in Moscow, a rare treat. As for the forged painting Rayechka never saw it again.

Unknown to Rayechka was the fact that Yevheniy actually was a mobster who worked for Viktor Seredenakov the leader of the Ukrainian branch of the Russian Mafia. It was Yevheniy who took the forged painting to Viktor and made a deal with him. In exchange for large amounts of money, Yevheniy through Rayechka would provide excellent forgeries for the mobster.

For a few years things were a bed of roses, Yevheniy was rolling in the dough and Viktor got some excellent forgeries. As for Rayechaka things were a little better; at least she wasn't beaten as often. Then greed raised its ugly head. Yevheniy wanted more money. When Yevheniy and Viktor last met, the mobster looked Yevheniy straight in the eye and said "Nyet".

Yevheniy told him that if he didn't get more money then Viktor wouldn't get any more paintings from Rayechka. Viktor took this as a breaking of the contract between the two. The mobster had the head of Yevheniy delivered to Rayechaka in a hat box.

Rayechaka swooned when she received the "gift". After recovering herself Rayechaka went to confront the mobster. Storming into Viktor's office Rayechaka flew at him in a rage. Viktor was taken aback from her anger, but soon his ire went up as well when Rayechaka raked his face with her fingernails. Viktor stood his ground against the woman, and soundly slapped her across the face. However, oddly enough the splap didn't frighten the woman like Viktor thought it would.

Instead a strange look crossed her face followed by a bluish aura that enveloped her body. However, this wasn't the strangest thing to happen. Before his very eyes the room changed. No longer were they standing in his office but in a wheat field under a noonday sun. And there seemed to be a slight breeze moving the heads of the wheat. Viktor was completely taken aback when all this happened. It was so surreal.

Viktor just couldn't help himself, and his laughter boomed forth from his chest. Tendrils of smoke came out of his nose and ears. Tears of laughter were leaking down his ruddy cheeks. He was quite choked up.

"Now, now my dear," said Viktor his anger completely forgotten, "let us not quarrel. Let me tell you, and I know that you know this Yevheniy he was a pig of man. Not worthy to breath the very air that you and I now breath. Yevheniy was greedy and he broke faith with me. Those who break faith with Viktor Seredenakov pay."

"However," said Viktor, "I on the other hand greatly appreciate the masterful works that you have created for me. And I can see that you were never appreciated by that fool Yevheniy. Please allow me to be your sponsor."

And just as oddly they were back in his office like nothing had ever happened. A flushed look crossed her face and she sat down heavily in one of Viktor's chairs. Tears coursed down Rayechka's face. She knew that what Viktor had said was true. Maybe things would be better working for Viktor. It couldn't be any worse than when she was with Yevheniy. Rayechka worked for Viktor for many years, before breaking with him, and fleeing Kiev. Viktor is not the forgiving type and hunts her to this day.

Personality

Rayechka still suffers the emotional scare left from her relationship with her late husband Yevheniy. He was at times quite brutal with his wife, and as such Rayechka remains emotionally distant from others, and just doesn't think she can ever trust anyone ever again.

Another side effect of her bad relationship is that Rayechka doesn't even trust herself. She knows that things will go bad for her. They always do according to her. One thing that Yevheniy did beat into Rayechka was to be perfect. Even with the death of her husband that trait has never left Rayechka; she can spend hours upon hours painting a forgery. At times, now that she has a little more freedom, Rayechka will even paint something for herself. So in a way she is healing.

Quote

"Life is like a canvas, and I paint life in the colors of red and blue."

Powers

Roloobo Roza is a mental projector. Her mind is able to alter reality to fit her artistic views. Roloobo Roza can warp reality so much that the real world appears fake and her artworld real. In addition she can project blinding flashes of color, or numb the mind of a foe with a similar mind attack which she calls her "Red Mood". Roloobo Roza can also seek out minds and attack them without being able to be attacked in return.

Defensively Roloobo Roza can call up a blue-tinted force field around her body that protects from most attacks. She calls this her "Blue Mood". Roloobo Roza can express herself by altering her appearance making herself appear like almost anyone in a general sort of way.

Appearance

Rayechka is a woman of average height and weight. She's quite attractive, but seems to keep most of her beauty inside. As Roloobo Roza, Rayechka wears a blue and red skin tight body suit that covers entire body except for her eyes. The suit also has a place in the back which allows Rayechka to put her hair so it isn't stuck inside the hood. Rayechka usually ties her long blond hair in a pony tail. When not in her Roloobo Roza guise, Rayechka likes to wear fashionable clothing. She has a thing for the latest fashions from Paris. However, when she's doing a painting she dresses down in clothing that can be thrown away underneath a paint smeared smock.
