Zhanna always wanted to be doctor. When she was a little girl she was always bandaging her dolls, and when she was older helping care for any injured animal that she found. Zhanna wanted very much to go to university, however, money for such schooling was in short supply. It looked like her dreams of becoming a doctor was going to just be a pipe dream. However, this was also the time that her latent Uber abilities became active. Zhanna was standing out in front of a jewelry store, and let out a groan. To her utter amazement the glass shattered. Zhanna didn’t stick around long, but did grab several pieces before fleeing.

Zhanna after some practice could generate ear-piercing screams. When her powers first manifested themselves, she usually shattered windows in a several block radius. Zhanna also discovered that by a lot of practice, and a big expenditure of energy she could phase her body through walls. Zhanna designed herself a costume, and took the name Nightingale and started committing crimes. Several times she almost got caught by the militia, but always made her escape. When Zhanna ran into Vasilisa, she thought the other one was a godsend. It was Vasilisa who came up with the idea of Glasnost. Later the duo became a trio after they encountered Jadwiga.

Originally Zhanna stole to further her medical education, but later after she met Jadwiga, and Vasilisa, she switched her goal. She still steals for her continuing education, but also uses the money to help Jadwiga’s orphanage. Zhanna often volunteers her time at the orphanage.

Zhanna has always wanted to become a doctor. It has only the been the lack of money that has prevented her from achieving her life’s dream. This has prompted her into her life of crime. Unfortunately, Zhanna has shown a taste for crime. She really enjoys all the things that money will bring. Her limits seems to be her occasion with Jadwiga, whom Zhanna thinks is a saint. Jadwiga has shown Zhanna and Vasilisa how to use the money they steal to better their fellow man, namely the children of the orphanage where Jadwiga works. Zhanna also volunteers her medical expertise, such as it is, at the orphanage.

"No need to stop talking because I walked into the room. I heard everything three blocks away."

Zhanna is an Uber who is able to generate powerful sonic burst from her mouth. Usually the sonic screams, as Zhanna calls them can deafen a foe, or cause ample damage in a foe. To date Zhanna has never used her screams in a way to kill anyone. Zhanna is quite versatile in modulating her sonic attacks, and can often surprise a foe with one of her screams.

Her more unique power is the ability to become living sonic energy and pass through solid objects. However, by resonating, Zhanna goes quickly tired, and cannot remain in such a state for long. Zhanna is naturally quite resistant to sonic attacks, and is also able to generate a field of sonic energy around her. The field protects her from attacks, and also allows her to fly after a fashion.

Zhanna’s hearing is quite keen, and she’s able to hear sounds further away than a normal person could.

Zhanna is a beautiful brunette, but not really as beautiful as Vasilisa. For a costume she wears a black velvet leotard with half boots, gloves, and a half cape. To hide her identity Zhanna wears small domino mask. When not in her Salavyey guise, Zhanna likes to wears baggy scrubs and usually has a stethoscope around her neck.
