| Background |
Haytham was born during the time when Lebanon was tearing itself apart with civil war. Beirut was the centre of the maelstrom, and the young boy was stuck in the middle of it. Haytham was only eight when he lost both of his parents in a bombing. Since then he has had to fend for himself. To survive in the chaos of Beirut Haytham was forced to beg, borrow, and steal. After a few years he was quite good at it. Things got better when his Uber-gene became active. Suddenly Haytham could now run at incredible speeds. No longer did he worry about people chasing him; he could easily out run a car. Over the years, Haytham has garnered quite the reputation as a street rat. He has only stolen what he has needed to survive, and has never physically hurt anyone. When Fatwa tried to interfere in Beirut, Haytham stepped up and opposed them. Using his uber-human speed, Haytham harassed and sabotaged Fatwa efforts. Fatwa laid a trap for Haytham, and the speedster fell for it, but he was rescued due to the intervention of Iron Amir. Together Iron Amir and Saluqi (as he was dubbed by Iron Amir), forced Fatwa to retreat. Fatwa swore revenge on Saluqi. To protect the young speedster, Iron Amir took him back to Qatar. Together they formed the basis of Five Pillars. |

Haytham is a young man who is sure of himself. To him there’s nothing he can’t do, and he’s likely to try it the more he’s told that he can’t. Haytham has counted only on himself for so long that he has a habit of going out and trying to prove how great he is. Iron Amir hopes that he’ll eventually out grow this behaviour. Haytham is very much a young man who’s constantly in motion. He hates to keep in one place for long. Coupled with his uber-human speed he can travel over the entire Middle East in a matter of minutes. He’s always trying new things, and at times getting himself into trouble for all of his energy. |

Saluqi is an Uber who has the ability to run at uber-human speeds. He runs so fast that he can cross over bodies of water and even run up the sides of buildings. Saluqi runs so fast that he seems to blur, making it difficult for foes to get a bead on him. When he wants to Saluqi can dodge while running making it almost impossible for anyone to hit him. Entangles have little effect on Saluqi because he’s able to break free from them with ease. Due to his years on the streets of Beirut, Haytham has become an accomplished thief, and street fighter. In addition to his skill at dirty infighting, he has developed a rapid fire punch that is quite devastating. The downside to his abilities is that Haytham must eat at least his body weight in food everyday. However, with his speed this doesn’t actually take him very long. Another downside to his abilities is that unexpected collisions are more damaging to him that planned collisions. |

Haytham is a young man, he’s only sixteen in fact. He has dark skin, and dark brown eyes. Haytham has black hair and like most Lebanese is fairly hairy. He doesn’t wear a costume per se, but wears a pair of well worn trousers with holes in the knees, a red vest, and a pair of equally worn out sandals on his feet. To hold up his trousers he wears a red sash around his waist. |
