Background

The Shumon House was long a popular and elite entertainment establishment in Kyoto catering to rich merchants and nobles, and even to the rare rich peasant. After a war during the rebuilding of Japan things changed drastically and so did Shumon House. Just as prostitutes took the title 'Geisha' to attract foreigners, so did Shumon House change from an entertainment establishment to a den of lawless pleasure. Prostitution, gambling, and illegal narcotics could all be had here by customers. Today, while the administrative methods have kept up to date with technology, the fare at Shumon House has not changed.

Powers
In addition to making money through their underground business triad, Shumon House also collects data, including pictures and video that can be used for blackmail should that be necessary. The computer also allows them give customized treatment to the highest paying customers by anticipating their desires.
Appearance

No matter where in the world it is, each Shumon House is a wooden building of Japanese architecture. The red lacquered gate leads to a garden where the visitor crosses a footbridge to a pavilion that serves as a reception area.
