The daughter of
Swiss banker (who has equal amounts of legitimate and illegitimate
activities), Martina was always treated as a princess and revelled in
it. Her parents divorced when she was little, but her father
retained custody and soon remarried. The second wife only lasted a
few months and was soon replaced with a third. Martin never had to
compete for her father's attention and the continuous parade of new
wives never fazed her.
Martina first
encountered magic at a boarding school in Austria. Her room mate
was descended from the Romany and had an over inflated opinion of her
magical abilities. Whilst showing off to Martina, the room mate
nearly had her arm ripped off as she opened a fissure in the fabric of
space and time. Martina was impressed. The room mate was
quickly expelled, but Martina managed to keep the girl's books hidden
safely in her own possession.
On a trip to the Caribbean with her
father, who was checking on some of his illegitimate activities, Martina
pursued mysticism in the local community. Using money and stubborn
pride she managed to bribe an old woman into showing her more magic.
The knowledge grew and so did the ambition. Returning to Europe
she decided to call herself the Sorceress and embarked on a series of
super hero activities which always ended up with Martina breaking into
property looking for more knowledge. She was soon kicked out of
three schools.
When she arrived at
Santo Miguel she found herself drawn to Luis Santiago Albelda who was a
prince. She quickly realised that he was only the third generation
of the royal line, so her interest faded slightly. Luis flirted
with her and she let him show her things that were designed to impress
her and probably lead to more intimate moments. Martina surprised
Luis by transforming herself into his likeness and taunting him that he
was in love with himself.
Luis was shocked.
But he quickly composed himself and revealed his own abilities, ripping
the wall open and taking her out into the courtyard beyond. He
whispered about retribution, but she didn't really care about taking
revenge upon those who had wronged her. Instead she was drawn to
the possibility of using these new friends to help her gain more power. |

Martina is a jet-setter and never feels tied down to any one place.
She is close to her father and has him wrapped around her finely
manicured finger. When she wants something she picks up the phone.
Since experiencing magic, Martina has become fascinated with the
unknown. Money can buy most things, but magic was something that
was hidden and required a combination of study and luck to harness.
She loves the inherent danger and the feelings of power she now
experiences whenever she unleashes her knowledge. She is proud of
her achievements and feels that she is destined for greatness. |

The Sorceress has gained a fair amount of magic knowledge in a short
amount of time. Most practitioners of magic would consider that a
very dangerous situation, especially since Martina is still only
sixteen. There have been bets made amongst the hidden community
that she will become corrupted before her eighteenth birthday, and the
odds are reputedly very good. During her short career as a solo
hero Sorceress stole a powerful amulet, the Magic Heart Stone, which
boosts her ability to wield the magic powers.

|
Martina is naturally a brunette with
fine features and a slightly upturned nose. She always dresses
immaculately and conservatively as Martina, but when she transforms into
Sorceress she becomes a wild red-head with very tacky fashion sense.
She loves the fact that she lives a dual life and keeps the two
identities as separate as possible - more for fun than a fear of
discovery. She always wears the Magic Heart Stone which is a blood
red amulet, and begins to swirl as she wields magic. The Sorceress
wears a green leotard with black bike pants and white leather bands.
Her red hair is always wild and her eyes glow green.
The Sorceress is able to change her
appearance easily, as well as the appearance of others.
