Daniele Sregolato was saved from an orphanage by Dr Akemi Kanemaru in the 1980s, and taken to the United States as Kanemaru's adopted son, and also something of a test subject for Kanemaru's uberhuman research. He grew up amongst people who were familiar with the ubergene, so his second head wasn't so much a problem.

Kanemaru encouraged Daniele to attend university and he did so, although he was forced to face extreme prejudice from his class mates and even his lecturers. But eventually, Daniele became a medical doctor and went on to work for the World Health Organisation and Doctors Without Borders, mostly in the Middle East and Northern Africa where he tried to help young impoverished ubers.

He came back to Italy after meeting long time friend, Chloe Numen, who had joined the Dawnstars. He liked what he saw on board the Miranda and agreed to sign on as the medical surgeon. Since joining the Dawnstars he has also campaigned the Italian government on issues regarding immigration and the treatment of ubers.

Daniele Sregolato is a fun loving man who happens to have two heads. He constantly confers amongst his heads on many issues which can be somewhat disconcerting, although he does this in equal parts good humour and a way to focus his thoughts. He really does have two brains, although they work in synch. To make things easier for others he refers to his clean shaven head as Daniele and his bearded head as Sregolato, or Lato.

"They say that two heads is better than one, but you should try waking up with him after his garlic bolognaise."

Daniele is an uberhuman with limited durability and an enhanced healing factor, but his most obvious uber feature is that he has two heads. In addition to that he also has a prehensile tail which he uses to help with his balance which is close to being in the uberhuman range.

Daniele Sregolato has olive skin, dark hair and a white toothy smile. One head is clean shaven and has a silver streak through his black hair, while the other wears a goatee beard. Both wear golden ear rings. His body is strong and durable. He has adapted the Dawnstars uniform, reversing the colours to give himself some individuality. He wears a black top and boots, and a pair of white pants.
