| Background |
Reginold Stoughton-Bryce was the son of a wealthy South African big game hunter. His father took Reginold on a number of hunts as he was growing up. Reginold excelled at hunting, and was following in his fathers footstep when his father was killed by a rogue elephant. Naturally Reginold inheirited a lot of money. However, the money really matter to him at the time, as Reginold went on to become a primier hunter in South Africa. Reginold swore an oath to himself that he would become the greatest big game hunter in the world. He felt that he could accomplish his goals in South Africa, and relocated to London. London was big change for Reginold. Due to his wealth he was accepted in certain circles of society, but not others. Since moving to London, Reginold heard abou the Empire Club. He was determined to join the organization. However, the members of the Empire Club either were Ubers or people with costumed identities. For Reginold he took it all as a challenge.Using his immense wealth, he built a sophisticated rifle and proceeded to hunt criminals. His bagging of two criminals who had robbed a London bank garnered him headlines. It also allowed him to join the Empire Club. However, the money that was stolen was never recovered. Reginold, who took the code-name: The Hunter, reveled in the limelight of being a member of the Empire Club, and lorded it over everyone he knew.It actually came as a shock to Reginold when the Empire Club actually folded, over the death of Lady Lancelot. She died in Africa of all places. This put Reginold at loose ends. Either he could join Knightwatch, which didn't appeal to him, or could become an indepedent. He dropped out of sight for a while, and when the Hunter resurfaced, he did so as the leader of Dirty Deeds. For the Hunter, it was the hunt that mattered, not the price. |
| Personality |
Reginold is a natural born hunter, a true progeny. However, he has grown bored with hunting mere animals. His new game, Ubers, are so much more challenging. Reginold thinks he's better than most because of his hunting skills. Those who disagree with him are just being petty, not realizing their betters, who the Hunter is counted as one. The Hunter also has a tendancy to be cruel. Of course Reginold sees this as being merciful. He wouldn't deem to let an Uber suffer, and if he gets a little thrill in inflicting massive amounts of damage on a hapless victim, then it is only a small price to pay for greatness. However, a sure way for a victim to really upset the Hunter would be unsportsmanlike. He has been known to fly into rages over that. For a person to be unsportsmanlike, in the Hunters eyes, is to be uncivilized. |
| Quote |
"I've hunted lions in Tsavo and elephants in Azambia. Do you think an Uber would be much of a challenge?" |
| Powers |
The Hunter is the consumate hunter. He only carries the best weapons when hunting Ubers. His weapon of choice is a high powered rifle of his own making. The Hunter has a variety of ammo that he can use in his rifle, armor piercing rounds, explosive bullets, and even tranquilizer darts in the extreme. He has also fitted the rifle so that it can fire flares, and even nets. Of course when things get out of hand, the Hunter can alway pummel his prey with the butt end of his rifle. The Hunter is also an avid boxer. He would certainly be a good one too, if he wasn't more concerned with hunting. Without his rifle, the Hunter will fall back on his good pair of knuckles. He has been known to throw a couple of punches that aren't included in the Queensbury rules. Also due to his vast experience as a hunter, Reginold has an almost sixth sense when it comes to danger. It's difficult to get the upper hand on the Hunter. For protection, the Hunter wears a suit of body armor, which he designed. Also when hunting at night, the Hunter sports a pair of night vision goggles so the prey won't escape. |
| Appearance |
Reginold dresses in the fashion of a big game hunter, complete with shiny black boots, tan jodhpurs, tan bush jacket, and hat. Tied around his neck is a red silk scarf. To hide his identity the Hunter wears a small domino mask. When on the hunt, Reginold is always packing a large high tech rifle. Otherwise, Reginold is a powerfully built white man with short blond hair and hazel. When not hunting, or admiring all his trophies, Reginold likes to relax in his smoking jacket along with a red fez. In public, he generally dresses like a wealthy man of liesure. |
