| History of the Tiaec'i | |
| The Tiaec'i were at one of those critical junctures in history when powered air travel was coming into being, industrial labor began to organize and become significant politically, and a mixture of ideas of all sorts pervaded the world. Political agendas and nationalism of various sorts resulted from this brew and tensions became heated. War seemed inevitable. But, scientific curiosity and the exchange of scientific ideas got the better of the various societies. Along with exchanges of scientific ideas, came better understanding between the nations. War was averted and friendly scientific competition replaced military contests. The Tiaec'i (upon last report) have recently achieved a political equilibrium after two decades of real political science. For the current level of technology, a democratic republic was established throughout the world. Scientific study of the economy led to moderate but steady economic growth. And technological achievements have led to advancements in many fields. The Tiaec'i are humanoid, but roughly half the size of Earth humans. Their bodies tend to be lithe rather than robust when healthy. They also have a slightly greater degree of manual dexterity, but not necessarily hand-eye coordination. | |
| Area of Operations and Homeworld | |
| In many ways, At'isi is similar to Earth. The atmospheric composition and percent of surface covered by land are much the same. While Earth has seven major continents, At'isi has five. Both have numerous islands varying in size. | |
| Goals | |
| The Tiaec'i are a peaceful civilization with a fair amount of general scientific curiosity. They have recently began interplanetary exploration of their system and have several research stations. In short, they desire peace and knowledge. | |
| Reputation | |
| The UCW knows of At'isi only through knowledge gained by Dr. Topa Ga-gan, the UCW liaison/advisor to Earth who serves as an expert at S.A.G.E. While they know that the Tiaec'i are generally peaceful, UCW technology is not sufficient enough to reach the world. | |
