Background

The only major investment made by the members of the International House of Crime was in a series of capital expenditures. In the home city of each member of the original club, a Chinese laundry was purchased and a legitimate chain of businesses, the International House of Clothing, was established. Within each, a small room with a strong vault was built. Each of these serves as a highly secure, well hidden safehouse for members of the International House of Crime.
